Washington Wizards Notes, Quotes 2009-12-11

Washington Wizards Notes, Quotes 2009-12-11--The Wizards failed to grab a single rebound in the second quarter against Boston.

--In honor of owner Abe Pollin, who passed away at 85 almost two weeks ago, the Wizards are wearing a patch on their uniforms for the rest of the season. Also, the floor of the Verizon Center has two huge decals with Pollin's first name on either side of midcourt.

--Abe Pollin's death won't have any influence on the way general manager Ernie Grunfeld evaluates the team and players going forward.

"It will be business as usual," Grunfeld said. "The process will still be the same as it has always been. If we think there is something that will help us both long term and short term we'll talk about it."

--Brendan Haywood writes a blog and recently he caught heat for making the statement that Tiger Woods' wife, Elin, was more interested in a large settlement than she was about salvaging her messy marriage to the golfing superstar.

"I put something out there that might not be that popular, but a lot of people are thinking that," Haywood said. "I'm not the only one."

QUOTE TO NOTE: "Right now we're a bottom-feeding team." -- Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas, on the state of the team.
