Washington Wizards Notes, Quotes 2009-10-08

Washington Wizards Notes, Quotes 2009-10-08--Antawn Jamison said that that last season's 19-win season was the hardest season of his 11-year career. "It was the most disappointing season of my career. You have people speculating whether or now we are going to make the playoffs with us winning 19 games. If this team can stay healthy all of that is going to be thrown out the window."

--One thing the Wizards have more of this season than they did last season is veteran players. However, despite the additions of players like Mike Miller and Randy Foye, the Wizards still have just two players -- Mike James and Fabricio Oberto -- that have won championships. James won with Detroit in 2004 and Oberto won a title with the Spurs in 2007.

--Third-year forward Dominic McGuire went from starting one game in his rookie season to 57 starts last season. However, this year should be different. If the Wizards can stay healthy look for McGuire, who averaged 26.2 minutes per game, to see his minutes greatly reduced.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "I have been playing with him the last two weeks or so and I can definitely tell you that he is healthy. He's not trying to dunk on people or anything like that, but he has that swagger, that confidence." -- Forward Antawn Jamison when asked at media day to evaluate the health of Gilbert Arenas' knee.
