SEEN AND HEARD AT AMERICANAIRLINES ARENAByline: Mike Jones, THE WASHINGTON TIMES

MIAMI -- The NBA released the ballots for this year's All-Star Game on Tuesday, and among the 24 guards and 24 forwards listed are Wizards point guard Gilbert Arenas, small forward Caron Butler and power forward Antawn Jamison.

Arenas, a three-time All-Star, was averaging 24.4 points and 5.6 assists going into Tuesday, while Butler, a two-time All-Star, was averaging 16.5 points and 7.7 rebounds. Jamison, also a two-time All-Star, has not played this season while healing from a partially dislocated right shoulder.

Wizards center Brendan Haywood is off to the best start in his career, averaging 11.3 points and 10.7 rebounds, but he is not on the ballot.

Haywood was on the ballot last year but tore a ligament in his right wrist and while recovering from surgery was sidelined for 75 games.

Haywood said he wasn't disappointed to be left off the ballot thisseason, figuring he didn't play enough last season to be considered this year. The center, who will be a free agent after this season, also said he has more important things to worry about at the moment.

What are we, 2-5? I'd look like an idiot if I was saying I was disappointed not to be on the All-Star ballot, Haywood said before the Wizards' game against the Heat. Let's take care of correcting things with ourselves and let everything else take care of itself.
