Dakota sizzles, Flash fizzle in 4th
BISMARCK, N.D. -- The Dakota Wizards limited the Utah Flash to just one field goal in the fourth quarter on the way to a 97-79 NBA Development League victory over the Flash on Thursday at the Bismarck Civic Center.

With Utah leading 73-65 at the end of the third quarter, Dakota's Renaldo Major took over on the offensive end and his Wizards teammates provided the defensive firepower. Major scored 11 of his game-high 22 points in the final period, while Dakota limited the Flash to just 1-of-13 from the floor and forced 10 fourth-quarter turnovers.

Dakota outscored the Flash 32-6 in the final period and improved to 12-9. The Flash had a four-game win streak snapped and dipped to 10-8. Utah's six-point fourth quarter ties the NBA D-League record for fewest points in a quarter.

"Give Dakota credit, they turned up the defensive pressure in the fourth quarter, made it tough on us and we didn't respond," Flash head coach Brad Jones said. "We will gather ourselves and get ready to play a hot Reno team that has won six in a row (coming into Thursday's game)."

Blake Ahearn followed Major with 20 points. Maurice Baker followed with 17 and David Bell chipped in 14 points off the Wizard's bench.

Dontell Jefferson recorded his second double-double of the season for the Flash with 21 points and 10 assists. Ryan Diggs and James Lang came off the Utah bench to score 16 and 11 points, respectively. Eddie Ard chipped in 10 points and Kyrylo Fesenko, on assignment from the Utah Jazz , had 11 rebounds.

Utah finishes a four-game road swing at Reno on Saturday afternoon.
